Adams Home Inspection Staff
Newcomer’s Inspection Services was formed in 1994 by Jim Naylor, a long time resident of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Jim was very active in the local chapter of ASHI, serving on the Board of Directors and even a term as president.
In 2003, Randy Adams purchased Newcomer’s when Jim prepared to retire.
The first two years of Randy’s ownership were much like an apprenticeship. Randy spent the first six months following Jim on inspections and soaking up his knowledge. For the next six months and until retirement, Jim would follow Randy and then critique his reports upon completion. Jim was a tremendous mentor to Randy.
Before becoming an inspector, Randy spent 20 years doing light construction and also working in sales positions in corporate America. When he bought Newcomer’s Inspection Services he had the vision of how to treat customers properly. At the beginning of 2011, with the start of a new marketing campaign, Randy dropped the Newcomer’s name and went to the parent company of Adams Home Inspection (AHI). At AHI, we treat every house as though we were inspecting it to live in ourselves. We inspect the house for your “peace of mind.”
Randy is a certified inspector with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). He has been the local ASHI chapter 2011-2012 immediate past president, 2010-2011 president, past treasurer and past membership coordinator. Randy received his home inspection training from the American Home Inspectors Institute. Randy thoroughly enjoys meeting people everyday and is anxious to do your home inspection.
Rob Annen has been with AHI since April of 2012. He went through very specific and close training under Certified Inspector Randy Adams. He then began his “official school training” in September and finished in October of 2012. Rob comes to AHI after spending 13 years in the cabinet making business. He already had a working knowledge of the house, but obviously after 6 months of training and now years of inspecting, he now has a wealth of knowledge that he is putting into practice.
Andrew Adams joined AHI in September of 2014, coming to the company after spending 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. Andrew first did on the job training (just as Rob) mainly with owner and senior inspector Randy, but some with Rob as well. He will be going to official schooling at American Home Inspectors Training Institute. He began inspecting houses on his own in the Spring of 2015 and is anxious to inspect your prospective new home.
Stacy Hood is the friendly voice that you will hear when you call AHI. Stacy has been with the company since early 2011. In addition to scheduling where Randy, Rob and Andrew go on a daily basis, she also coordinates all of the marketing activities of AHI. Stacy is anxiously awaiting your call to schedule your home inspection today!
